Step 3 - Schedule Your Coaching
Let’s roll! Starting a coaching program is a powerful commitment to yourself and to your professional life. Coaching is all about sustainable change, which requires time for thought, reflection and action. For best results, one 30 minute session a week is strongly recommended. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
How long do people typically work with a coach?
Every coaching program is unique to each individual and will vary in duration. True, sustainable change, which coaching is all about, requires time. Typically, clients work with me weekly for about three months, but programs can go longer depending on your goals.
Do we have to meet in person?
No. In the interest of convenience and efficiency, I mainly work with clients via ZOOM, a video-conferencing platform or telephone. A benefit of ZOOM is that we can record your sessions (optional) so you don’t have to take notes and can be fully present, reviewing our sessions at a later time.
How long is a session?
Regular coaching sessions are 30 minutes long. Thirty minutes may seem too short time to get any real work done, yet it is plenty of time. My experience is that time seems to expand magically to accommodate your process each week. It helps our sessions be super effective if you bring a question, challenges, or situation to our scheduled session. In this way, you are in the driver’s seat.
